I received a call from this number, claiming to be the ATO, with regards Debt lodgement, smells like a scam, will give me information regarding the issue, even after calling back and quoting their ref number, but want me to give out my details, this is a scam, ATO will primarily make contact via your mygov account porthole, these people are SCAMMERS.
Well spoken man said his name was matis barroso said he was from tax office left this number for my son to contact him. Tuesday 30th may at 5 45 pm. Hobart tasmania.
Indian woman left a message on voicemail to my mobile saying she was from the Australian Tax Office and wanted to discuss a late tax lodgement, to call back on 1300661508 and state my tax file number. I cannot find this number listed on the ATO website so I'm assuming its a scam.
This number left a voice message saying it was the ATO an asking for the wrong name my search of all ATO numbers failed too find this one!
