I got this email that looked legit from ‘Origin’ claiming I’d missed some payments and it was pay-up time. Typical panic mode, I called the number from the email, 1300 360 986, and guess what? The automated response told me my number wasn’t even linked to any account. I didn’t fall for that one and hung up quick - felt just off!
I received a text message that incorrectly claimed my electricity usage was exceeding what my payment plan covers. The message was poorly written and requested that I call the number 0485 871 591 for more information.
I got that too.
