Hi, My name is Rowena. I was wondering to ask about my concern and my stinct push me write you ASAP because I felt guilty what I done this afternoon around pass 3pm.
I received a call from the lady namely Kathlin not really sure for the correct spelling of her name, that she was introducing the compare rate plan about the electricity bill how much we pay. She said it's from energex which provider is a Lumo. English is my second language and I have a difficult to understand sometimes on phone. We are in AGL provider since as far as I knew when I arrived in Australia. My husband is the registered acct name of AGL. That lady she talked blah, blah, blah until she ask my complete name, date of birth, my email add and my medicare card number and she read me 9 info included that I give my authority to change the account which I don't understand and I pushed myself to say YES because it sounds she change her voice because I said to her how can I decide without my husband's knowing, and I want you to send me a proper letter what she been talking on the phone so that my hushand and I can read and understand properly. She done recording for a few times because she repeat red again the 9 information, I don't really happy to say Yes to aggree with it. I realized while I was reading a News for Seniors magazine that on page 7 "BEWARE OF SCAMMERS" all of a sudden I done something wrong this afternoon. I gave my personal information to a stranger caller which I don't know who she is and introduced herself as Kathline from Energex and Lumo elericity provider. Please help me to stop them if it is a scamm or span. And help me to fine out Is she a right person work in the right company which I alredy said. Hope no one can be a victim of this scam anymore. What should I suppose to do if I'm a victim, I alreday gave my personal details to her. Thank you very much and I look forward your concern .
