This number was used to make a call purporting to be from the ATO threatening immediate legal action.
Scammer. One of those recorded messages saying there is a lawsuit about to be filed against you and they need you to contact their department immediately.
I was left a message from this number. It sounded like a computerised voice in an American accent claiming I had an outstanding matter with the tax office and that if I didn't ring back they would issue an arrest warrant! Clearly a scam.

Caller left message claiming to be ATO and if I don't call back they will issue a arrest warrant, when I rang back the phone just ringing no pickup. Scammers!!!!

That is 08 9467 7976. I repeat.08 9467 7976. Now, if I don't hear the call from you, we'll pursue you with an arrest warrant under you name and get you arrested. So, get back to us as soon as possible. God bless you! " mwhahahahaha... Plz DON'T CALL back in any case!!

I just recevived a call from this number and let it go to message bank. I was like a Robotic Yankee voice saying they are from the taxation department saying something about a matter and If I don't return the call the will put a warrant out for my arrest. This is dodgy and what ever you do don't return the call it could be a scam.

A scam. Automated voice message saying they are from the ATO and that they threaten to start a legal case against you unless you call back immediately. I called the ATO using the official ATO number and confirmed that they never ever use automated system and that they always call using private numbers.
