I received a scam call from someone too intimidated to engage in a conversation with me.
This number is a known scammer. The call came from Darwin City, Northern Territory. It's frustrating that the regulators seem to do nothing about such calls!
Claimed they were from visa Mastercard fraudulent security dept other calls in background doing the same appear very fake and scam to me do not give any info.

Called saying they were from Mastercard, obviously fake.
When I answered the call, the person on the other end claimed to be from Telstra. The call displayed a number from Darwin City, Northern Territory. There was a lot of background noise, making it difficult to understand what they were saying after they introduced themselves. I told them I wasn't interested and ended the call.
When I answered the phone, there was a significant pause with no one speaking, and just as I was about to hang up, I could hear background noise that sounded like a busy call center. They had also called me earlier when I was already on another call, which is frustrating. If nobody is on the line when I answer, I see no reason to engage with such calls.
I received another call related to the old Mastercard scam, which is sadly quite common. These calls appear to originate from Indian scam call centers. It's frustrating that regulatory bodies like ACMA have not taken more action against this criminal activity.
