A message was left on my phone. It is a recorded message claiming to be from the ATO. Please NOTE: The ATO DO NOT CALL PEOPLE AND LEAVE MESSAGES. First clue that this is a scam. Message states that it wanted me to call them back on a given number NOTE: ATO DO NOT LEAVE MESSAGES ASKING YOU TO CALL THEM BACK. This is the second clue that it's a scam. Message then threatens me with an arrest warrant. Now I don't know what State you are from, but in QLD, the QLD police just don't go around arresting people without a valid reason. Clue number three, that its a Scam. So please...ignore, block and NEVER call them back. I don't want to see these Gutter-Dwelling-Scumy Ragheads destroy your livelihood or hurt you and your family in anyway. These people are NOT entitled to your money. It's your money, don't let them take it. Don't believe me - Call the ATO directly on their official phone number. Ask for the receiver's registered number and discuss your concern if you have any. Do not call this number back.
