08 8120 0310 and 08 8121 4403 are both numbers that appear to come from Adelaide but are in fact Indian scammers in India. The run a "Canon Printer Set Up Scam". They pretend to help with a new printer set up by using remote access to your computer and then ask for payment for updating and cleaning your computer and getting the printer working... They have cloned the Canon website and use a chat bot to start with but then quickly call, do some confusing and distracting functions on your computer then ask for payment, $300-$500. I was asked if my card was set up for international payments and I said I didn't know, luckily my card declined and he got angry and said I would need to pay via PayPal... I said no way and I knew it was a scam by them and he quickly installed ransomware onto my laptop rendering it useless and said I can't use it until I pay.... I destroyed the laptop and bought a new one.
