What Our Users Reviewed
We were contacted by this company with the offer of travel vouchers which we purchased. They seemed very legitimate and gave us their ASICS details and walked us through their website explaining everything.
It is obviously an elaborate scam- the travel vouchers aren't worth the paper they are printed on as it is impossible to contact them or book any accommodation with them.
Do not purchase anything off thetourgroups. Com or ocean escapes. Com under any circumstances. Just receive the Same message from Indian person on answering machine.
I too received this offer of travel vouchers from thetourgroups. Com 2 days ago. I rang both the phone number above, after I checked my bank statement and found my monies taken by Ocean Marketing Solutions Clayton South Australia and the Sydney no. The scammers gave me (02)80050825 and get exactly the same voice message by an Indian sounding womans voice to leave a message. They obviously are pretty sohisticated as gave me a legit Asic company Australian Tours & Travel Pty Ltd with matching ABN no. Etc and said they were in Camperdown Nsw. I checked these out on ASIC before parting with my monies. Checked Scamwatch but couldn't really find them listed.
I also signed up with the tour groups and paid money for travel vouchers. Despite hundreds of emails, dozens of phone calls (to a message bank with Indian woman asking me to leave a message) I hear nothing. Same for Ocean escapes. Do not under any circumstances pay any money to these people.
This is the number on the business card supplied by "Ocean Escapes" after we paid for a number of documents which were going to give us cheap, quality accommodation throughout Australia (and the world). On calling the number, I keep getting told that "the person I'm calling is unavailable, please leave a message after the beep" from a female with an Indian (sub-continent) accent. Have we done our dough.
On putting this number into all the reverse lookups I can find, I get nothing.
