I let the unrecognised number go to voicemail and so glad I did. It sounded like a recorded message, possibly Canadian accent telling me “if you don’t return the call we will contact the police to get an arrest warrant to have you arrested”. Needless to say I did not return the call.
DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER OR EVEN CONTACT THEM. THEY HAVE SCAMMED $100.000+ OUT OF PEOPLE. DO NOT ANSWER. IF THEY LEAVE A VOICEMAIL THEY WILL SAY YOU OWE MONEY AND IF YOU DOn't REPLY THEY WILL SEND OUT AN ARREST WARRANT. IT'S ALL FAKE. The automated message from this number says you owe money to the tax office and will be jailed if you don't contact them. Do not reply. I have not received any correspondance from the tax office.
I am sure if no one picks up all these unknown spam call in the first place and let it rings out, and simply blocked the number at the end. This will dismiss lots of spammers and piss them right off.
