    This number calls my wife repeatedly using the name First Response, saying they are getting in touch with people who have recently been in an accident. This is not the case for us and we would not tell a phone caller about that sort of thing anyway. It's an invasion of privacy and obviously a cold-call marketing ploy to get a live number, probably to sell on if they can't get the person called to engage the sales rep.

    SCAM. They somehow get your info from purchased data lists and I think they con people into giving their personal information which they sell to shark lawyers who will promise you top $ compensation for alleged accident. Google associates this phone number to Gerard Malouf lawyers who advertise on TV as being compensation lawyers.

    This number rings me frequently, and it's annoying. I do not answer unknown numbers and they never leave a voice message. I rang the number and it says all our agents are busy, please stay on the line and we'll transfer your call to our next available agent. So I hung up and this number is now going on my reject list.

    Keep getting calls from them everyday. Never answer them as I'm busy, but whenever I call back it stays at this:

    'Your call is very important to us, pls stand align and we'll transfer you to the next available agent' and no one comes on. I stayed on the call for an hour.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
