Exactly the same happened to me today. I answered the first call and then hung once I was called mam. If they knew my name they should say it.. They have now called 3 times this afternoon from the other number. Not answering! Leave me alone!
My wife received a call from this number 0870942425 @208 pm today stating there was a promotion on Her Telstra mobile service and offering half price bills for 11 months, she replied does not have Telstra service he said oh ok in order to remove you from mailing list I need to send you a one time approval code to you number my wife laughed and hung up..
The same operates called from a different number @209 pm 0272519504 which is on scam lilt and he said why did you hang up I’ll be sending you the one time code now and you need to give it to me, she replied she will not engage in this spam and hung up.. Then a different operator called @2.12 pm from 0283582856 and advised there was a fraud of $900 on her Mastercard she immediately hung up, we are waiting to see if transaction appears as she stated was from Visa Mastercard, sounded as though she was young from a foreign country with background noise.
