Threat and Intimidation Reports for 07 5662 4039
Four contributors have reported concerning behaviour from 07 5662 4039 (also written as 0756624039), a Queensland local service number. The most recent report describes an aggressive caller who knew the recipient's full name, became hostile when questioned about their identity, and used intimidation tactics. This pattern of targeted contact combined with aggressive behaviour suggests coordinated calling activity rather than random telemarketing.
Beyond the overt threat reported from 0756624039, contributors have also flagged this number for silent calls and voicemail patterns consistent with scam probing. The combination of personalised contact, aggression, and silent follow-ups indicates this number may be part of a larger scam operation testing which numbers are active and responsive.
What Callers from 07 5662 4039 Say and Do
The most specific report about 07 5662 4039 describes a caller who used the recipient's full name to establish false familiarity, then responded with aggression and intimidation when challenged. The caller told the recipient to "shut up" when asked for identification, suggesting the caller was unprepared to justify their call or maintain a cover story under questioning.
Another contributor reported a call-centre style operation, noting an Indian accent and general scam indicators. This differs from the threat-focused call but may represent the same organisation using different scripts or callers. A third contributor received a burst of 4-5 calls from 0756624039 and similar numbers within 5 minutes, a pattern repeated across multiple weeks, followed by empty 17-second voicemail messages containing no audio. This suggests automated probing to identify active numbers.
Call Patterns and Timing
The voicemail contributor noted a month-long pattern of bursts from 07 5662 4039 and similar numbers, with 4-5 calls arriving within 5-minute windows. These bursts suggest automated or rapid-fire dialling, typical of scam operations testing contact lists. The silent voicemail lasting 17 seconds with no audio content is consistent with scam callback request techniques, where silence can trigger callbacks from curious recipients or voice systems.
One contributor received their call after answering, indicating this number does not exclusively use silent/voicemail tactics. The mix of answered calls with aggression and unanswered calls with silent voicemail suggests a multi-stage approach: initial contact by call, escalation to threat if answered, and voicemail drops if unanswered.

What Our Users Reviewed
Bloke asked for me by full name, when I asked who he was he got aggressive and told me to shut up
Indian accent, seemed like a call centre scam
Missed call. Left empty voice message lasting 17 seconds. No audio. I have had a string of these calls from interstate numbers I don't recognise and in bursts of 4-5 calls each time within 5 minutes, all very similar, for the past month. Very much smells of a scam. Have blocked but unfortunately similar numbers with identical first 4 digits still get through.

WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
What should I do if a caller from 07 5662 4039 knows my full name?
Do not engage further. The fact that a caller from 0756624039 knows your name does not mean they are legitimate. Contributors report that scammers use personal details (sourced from data breaches or public records) to create false familiarity and trust. Hang up immediately and do not confirm any information. If the caller becomes aggressive (as one contributor experienced with 07 5662 4039), this is a strong indicator of a scam attempt using intimidation tactics.
Why am I getting silent voicemail messages from 07 5662 4039?
Silent or empty voicemail messages from 0756624039 are a scam probing technique. The 17-second empty message reported by a contributor suggests an automated system testing whether your number is active. Scammers use silent calls to identify which phone numbers answer or have voicemail enabled, then prioritise those numbers for follow-up scam attempts. Do not return the call. Block the number and report it to ACMA.
I received multiple calls from 07 5662 4039 within minutes. Is this normal?
No. One contributor reported 4-5 calls from 0756624039 and similar Queensland numbers arriving within 5 minutes, repeated over several weeks. This burst-dialling pattern is typical of automated scam systems and is not normal telemarketing behaviour. Block 07 5662 4039 and any similar numbers with matching first digits (0756). If the pattern continues after blocking, report to ACMA at acma.gov.au.
What does it mean if a caller from 07 5662 4039 becomes aggressive when I ask who they are?
Aggression or hostility when a caller from 0756624039 is questioned is a major red flag for a scam. One contributor reported that when they asked the caller to identify themselves, the caller responded with 'shut up' and intimidation. Legitimate organisations have trained staff who can identify themselves and explain the purpose of their call. Aggressive responses suggest the caller is executing a threatening script and cannot justify their call. Hang up immediately and block the number.
Is 07 5662 4039 a real Queensland business number?
07 5662 4039 (0756624039) is allocated as a local service number to Symbio Networks in Queensland, but this allocation does not guarantee legitimacy. Contributors report aggressive calls and scam indicators from this number, suggesting it may be used for fraudulent purposes despite the legitimate service type allocation. Do not assume any number is safe based on area code or service type alone. Judge by the behaviour of the caller.
Should I block 07 5662 4039 and similar numbers?
Yes, block 07 5662 4039 immediately and consider blocking similar numbers. One contributor noted that while they blocked 0756624039, similar numbers with the same first 4 digits (0756) continued to call. If you receive multiple calls from numbers starting with 0756 in quick succession, block them all. Most phone systems allow you to block number ranges or report spam to your provider, which can filter similar numbers automatically.
