Phishing scammer tried to get my credit card details. Asian accent, male, told me he was from "Commbank Fraud Detection" unit and that someone was trying to charge my card $400 for Amazon and Temu purchases and did I happen to get a text asking me to confirm the transaction? I said they could go for it because I don't have anything near that much in my account. He tried getting my card details to "confirm" my account after telling me they would never ask for my details. When I said I would hang up and call Commbank myself he wanted to argue that he WAS from the Commbank Fraud Detection unit. If he was, he would have been happy for me to do that. Hung up. Called Commbank and they confirmed it was a scam.
