Characterised as a suspicious telemarketer, it has been linked to fraudulent tactics aiming to solicit personal information under the guise of a federally sanctioned programme.
Classification and User Experiences
Based on user reviews, it's evident that 07 3088 6711 / 0730886711 falls under the 'suspicious' category, primarily due to the frequency of complaints received within a short period. When questioned, the callers often end the interaction abruptly, further raising red flags about their legitimacy.
Recognising the Scam
This type of activity is commonly associated with tax-related scams where the fraudsters aim to extract sensitive information from unassuming citizens. For instance:
- Calls are made with no one responding on the line, indicating a robocalling system that automatically dials numbers.
- Attempts to return calls result in busy signals or disconnections, suggesting the number is not genuine.
It is risky to engage with these callers, as they may use professional-looking scripts designed to manipulate you into providing personal information. Always remember, legitimate government agents or tax representatives will not cold-call you regarding sensitive issues or financial incentives.
How to Handle Calls from Suspicious Numbers

Missed a call from this number this afternoon. Tried calling it back a few times only to be met with a weird international sounding ringer that rang out after about a minute. The second and third times I called, it was a normal local sounding ringer which rang out after about half a minute. Then when I tried again, an RVA stated the number had been disconnected. Strange.
Was just called from this number. They hung up as I answered and upon recalling number has been disconnected!
Dodgy.
