I don’t even have Telstra, and this call reeks of a scam!
Had a call from this number claiming to be Telstra and the reason for the call was regarding network issues and wanting to offer a 40% discount for the frequent interruptions. I asked what their employee Number was, and they said C519008. Following that they read out my email to confirm and said they would send through a link to verify the account to apply the discount. I opened my email out of curiosity and a 2-Factor Authenticator popped up in which I declined- I confronted the lady and asked if she was trying to scam me in which she was abrupt and hung up. Do not fall for this- definite scammer!!
So, I got this dodgy call claiming to be from Telstra, saying my network's a mess and offering a 40% discount. When I asked for their employee number, they just rattled off 'C519008'. Then they had the nerve to read my email and promised to send a link to verify my account. Sounds too good to be true, right? I'm not falling for this trick!
This number is an absolute crook, mate! Don't let them con you into giving up any personal or financial details.
