I recently received a call from an unknown number and they did not leave a message. It's frustrating that callers rarely leave messages—if their intentions are genuine, they should provide proof of that through a proper message. I won't waste my time calling back unknown numbers.
An Indian woman called me about an electricity service scam. I have blocked her number as a precaution.
Upon answering this call, I was met with a long silence before a woman with an Indian accent introduced herself as Christine. She claimed to provide information about an additional payment I was supposed to receive from the government for my solar panels. When I informed her that I was already in credit, she quickly ended the call. This seems like another attempted scam.
Scam call from 0489905815 at 6.59 pm and this is the fourth scam call for the day.
These pricks never give up trying and the phone once again automatically blocked the call thanks to the “Caller ID and spam protection settings”.
Another scam number is now blocked and reported to Scamwatch.
