A male with extremely thick indian type accent called me and was extremely hard to understand him.
He mentioned comparisons for electricity and gas. Asked me which providers I used as he had cheaper options. I said to him If he had cheaper options, he should not have to ask me which providers I used. He said he knew, but as per their policy, I needed to tell him.
I then told him I wasn’t really interested and he then started talking over me, he then asked me to confirm I was the account holder (I had never revealed my name during the call and he did not speak to me by name).
I told him I was not giving him personal information. I also said it was not appreciated to receive a spam call during dinner time, to which he replied that it “was NOT dinner time” (he called me at 6:50 pm)
He continued to talk and I just hung up and blocked.
Could not understand a word this guy said. He sounded indian. I could hear busy chatter in the background. Clearly was a telemarketer trying to annoy me at dinner time, so hung up and blocked number.
Caller hung up on me when I answered.
Caller made a second call and again hung up when I answered.
I called the number and heard a busy call centre noise in the background.
Caller was extremely difficult to understand and took several attempts for me to understand he identified as “Leo”
I didn’t understand anything he was saying, but believed I made out “electricity” and “gas” at the end of his first sentence.
He then continued to talk and I caught the word “comparisons” and then realised he was a telemarketer spam calling me.
I told “Leo” if and when I choose to compare electricity and / or gas, I will initiate this on my own.
He didn’t appear to like this answer as I could clearly understand him when he screamed “you stupid bitch” at me when I said I did not need his services.
Before he could continue any further, I hung up on him & blocked the number.
I had a call from a seller trying to persuade me to compare prices for electricity and gas services to secure a better deal. Despite my polite refusal, indicating that I wasn't interested, the caller persisted in trying to convince me. I eventually decided to block this number.
My phone identified this number as suspected spam.
Calls every other day - no message left.
