This number has been calling me regularly, but I refuse to provide my credit card details to anyone, especially someone pretending to be from a legitimate organization like Mater. It's best to ignore any requests for financial information.

C

This number belongs to the Mater Lotteries call center, which frequently calls to sell art union tickets. They consistently call without leaving a message, which is quite annoying.

L

I chose not to answer this call, and no message was left. After reading other reports about it, I’m glad I didn’t pick up. I will block this number, especially as I have already informed Mater lotteries via email that I only make purchases when I choose to.

N
Nace

Mater has been repeatedly sending me postal mail, which is quite frustrating since I live outside of town and only have a P.O. Box. After I emailed them about stopping the mail, they ceased sending it but continue to call me. I plan to file another complaint regarding this issue.

C
Cryer

This company has consistently harassed me since I purchased tickets just once. I strongly advise against registering or buying tickets for their lotteries, as they will bombard you with phone calls every day. Even if you block one number, they’ll just call from another. I simply ignore their calls in hopes they'll understand they need to stop.

Thank you for sharing this experience. I'm experiencing the same issue; despite asking to be removed, I still keep getting calls from their new mobile numbers. I’m adding this number to my Blocked Callers list. For others dealing with similar calls, registering on the “Do Not Call Register” website can be really helpful. I will keep an eye on Mater going forward.

S

I received a call from Mater Lotteries, notifying me that I won a house, but then they stopped calling. Thank you, Mater!

Appeared as Thomas Direct on my mobile but I called them back to discover it was Mater Lotteries, selling tickets.

M

Name came up Thomas Pty Ltd no actual ring or message left. Assume it's a scam.

W

I have bought tickets from this seller in the past, but I have experienced excessive harassment from them over the last year. I've even told them that for every call I receive, I will avoid buying tickets for 6 months. So far, they have accumulated a 3 and a half year exclusion from my purchases, which has helped me save money.

D
Duplessis

Unless I had won something, I don't understand why they are calling me since I don't recall entering any contest or giveaway. They didn’t leave a message after calling.

K
Kear

I received a call from 0488 831 297, claiming to be from Mater Lotteries. I had already closed my account with them and clearly told the caller not to call me again, as I prefer to buy tickets online.

B

I bought tickets from this company once and have been bombarded with harassing calls ever since. No matter how many numbers I block, they continue to call from different numbers. I will never support this company again.

S

I'm already enrolled in a direct debit through TRYand win a house, yet this number keeps contacting me, asking for more money. If I wanted additional tickets, I would purchase them myself. I'm frustrated and planning to cancel due to their persistent calls.

Spam marketing call from MATER PRIZE HOMES.

P

I continue to receive spam calls from Mater Lotteries, and they keep changing their phone numbers to avoid being blocked. I have blocked them again, but it is very annoying.

W

I received a call from Mater Lotteries, and even after I hung up, they called me back twice and just hung up on me. This behavior is childish and has ensured that I will never support them again.

A

Despite informing them to stop calling me years ago, they continue to be persistent in contacting me.

The number appeared on my phone as "Smart ID" and was labeled as "Thomas Direct." When I answered, it was a caller from Mater Lotteries. It seems that Mater Lotteries may have expanded their operations and outsourced their call center, as the caller had a foreign accent. I am concerned that my personal information may have been shared internationally.

R
Rhyne

I would advise calling Mater to register a complaint and express that you won’t support charities that annoy you with constant solicitations; this strategy helped me stop their persistent marketing calls in the past.

Received a call from a young woman on this number saying it was Mater lottery offering a two for one deal. Having previously bought from a Mater prize home she said they had my cc details on file but it had expired and could I give her the new details, I said I didn’t have my card at hand so she offered to call back in 20 minutes as I would not be able to reach her on the number she had called from. Alarm bells right there. Strangely she never called back, most definitely a scam.

I received a scam text message with a link that leads to a fake Australia Post website. The website cannot refresh or redirect properly, and it appears to be trying to collect personal information. I've reported this to Australia Post and the Australian Federal Police, and I advise others not to click on the link.
