Call on my mobile from this number - 0487 941 344. Upon answering I was connected to a call centre where an Indian gent proclaimed to be a Telstra representative. I was advised that my Telstra home phone line and internet services would be disconnected in the next 24 hours and that he would kindly help sign me up to a Telstra National Broadband Network plan. Of course I had to answer a number of security questions first which required me to divulge personal details.

Funny that... I do not have any accounts with Telstra.

Upon informing him that I was recording the phone call “for training and quality purposes” he hung up.
