This number is the real deal, folks! It’s Medicare reaching out. If you received a message you weren’t expecting, chances are someone might’ve just punched in the wrong digits, maybe the chemist or somewhere. Just remember, they only use this to let you know to update your details, which you can do through a call to Medicare or via MyGov, not through any dodgy SMS!

Received a dodgy text claiming my MySL details had changed and instructed me to contact a pharmacy. My regular chemist said there’s no issue, and if there's no government tag on the number, it’s probably a scam. Best to stay clear of this one!

Hey mates, just got a message from Soul Pattinson Chemist about the whole MySL prescription access thing. They wanna know if I give them the thumbs up. Also, seems like my details have changed. If that wasn't me, best to hit up a local pharmacy!

Received this dodgy SMS from MyTSL with a link that feels very much like a phishing trap. Definitely raising my suspicions!

The same as a couple of previous accounts.

Except that my request came from CHEMIST WAREHOUSE in Sale Victoria via HOT DOC.

Also. Simultaneously (over the last 3 days) I have been receiving texts from my medical centre thanking me for making an appointment and requesting my payment details to cover the appointment.

I have not made any such appointments.😡

I received a text message asking if I authorize My Chemist Reservoir to access my prescriptions in MySL. The options to respond were 1-YES, 2-YES one day only, or 3-NO. Since I do not use MySL for prescriptions and would not be collecting them in Reservoir, I responded with 3 (NO).

I received a text message asking if I authorize Cessnock Chemist to access my medical records in the MySL system with a link provided. Since I use MySL for online prescriptions, I suspect this service may have shared my data.

Scam.

I received a text message claiming I needed to update my Medicare details, which included a suspicious link to click on. I refuse to engage with such scams and find it insulting that they think I'm gullible.
