Got this dodgy real estate fella trying to fishing for information about me. Knew my name, nickname and even my address. Bit sus, eh?
So, I get this call with a thick foreign accent about a property valuation. They had my address, too! It’s the third time they’ve called and keep pushing me for a valuation. Bit of an invasion of privacy, don't you reckon?
Couldn’t hear his name but said some real estate calling to do house appraisal in Cranbourne. And ask if I own any house in Cranbourne which I said no. Then he just said Umm and hang up.
Someone rang asking if I own a property in “Cranberry” or “Cranbourne” or whatever. The accent threw me off, and now I'm left scratching my head!
This number is total rubbish! They knew my home address and wanted to appraise my property, but their English was so bad I could barely understand a word. Sounds like a bloody scam artist to me!
This person just called advising he was a Real Estate Agent doing appraisals in my area.
As I am a Real Estate Agent myself, I advised there was no requirement and he asked me bluntly.
"Are you sure you are a Real Estate Agent?" I told him he was a rude bastard and hung up on him.
I got a call from a bloke who sounded like he was from some place called Uphill Real Estate. They were asking about an appraisal, but when I asked where they got my number, he went mute! Even rang Uphill to verify, and guess what? No one there had that mobile. Super shady if you ask me!
The call did not seem professional at all, and I looked up Harry Real Estate and found that it does not exist.
Called at about 5 pm. Said a name like RPA Real Estate offering appraisals in Cranbourne East. When I asked where he got my number from he tried to tell me I’d searched real estate in the area. I told him I hadn’t ask asked him again where he got my number from. He hung up on me. I called him back and told him I suspected he’d bought an illegal contacts list and that I will be reporting him to the Australian Federal Police. He might be using a new name because I’m pretty sure he used a different name to Harry.
This caller claimed to represent RPA Real Estate and stated he was conducting property appraisals in Cranbourne East. When I pressed him for details about how he obtained my phone number, he initially provided false information before abruptly hanging up.
There is a company called "Harry Real Estate," but after investigating, I was unable to find any existing business by that name. This leads me to believe that the call was not legitimate.
