Aussie Assure Scam Reports for 04 8588 6264

Two contributors have reported receiving calls from 04 8588 6264 (also written as 0485886264) linked to a company called Aussie Assure. The reports indicate a pattern where callers attempt to engage recipients through voicemail systems and removal requests rather than direct conversation. Community research on the company name has flagged Aussie Assure as operating with characteristics typical of scam operations, with multiple complaints documented online.

Both reports about 0485886264 describe similar experiences where contributors either missed the initial call or were directed to voicemail after calling back. Rather than identifying the business purpose, the voicemail messaging focuses on removal procedures, which is a common tactic used to validate phone numbers and maintain contact with potential targets.

What Callers from 04 8588 6264 Leave Behind

When contributors attempted to investigate 04 8588 6264, the voicemail system presented an immediate response claiming to be from Aussie Assure. The message did not explain why the number had called, but instead instructed recipients to email the company with their phone number to request removal from their call list. One contributor noted that this removal request required providing personal contact information via email to an unverified address.

The redirection to email communication is notable, as it shifts the interaction away from voice channels where the company's identity could be more easily questioned. Contributors reported that searches for Aussie Assure revealed existing scam complaints about the organisation, suggesting this is not a legitimate business operating transparently in the Australian market.

Report Patterns and Timing

The calls to 04 8588 6264 occurred in the evening, with one contributor reporting a missed call at 5:59 PM. Both reports arrived within a single day, suggesting active calling campaigns during this period. The fact that both contributors independently searched for information about the company and found existing negative histories indicates Aussie Assure may be operating a broader calling operation targeting multiple phone numbers simultaneously.

The use of a mobile number (04 prefix) rather than a fixed line is notable, as scam operations often prefer mobile or VoIP allocations to change numbers quickly when they are flagged. This particular number is allocated to Pivotel Satellite, a provider that serves rural and remote areas, though the calling pattern suggests urban or suburban targets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Aussie Assure and why did they call 04 8588 6264?

Aussie Assure appears to be a scam operation rather than a legitimate business. Community research has identified multiple complaints about this company name online. The two contributors who received calls from 04 8588 6264 (0485886264) found no legitimate business registration for Aussie Assure. Scam operations often use official-sounding company names to create credibility during initial contact attempts.

Why did the voicemail from 04 8588 6264 ask me to email to be removed?

Asking you to email with your phone number serves multiple scam purposes. First, it confirms your number is active and monitored, making it valuable for resale to other scam operations. Second, it captures your email address for phishing campaigns. The removal request creates a false sense of legitimacy, suggesting this is a normal business trying to comply with Do Not Call preferences, when it is actually a scam validating your contact details.

Should I call back 04 8588 6264 to ask them to stop?

No. Do not call back 0485886264 under any circumstances. Calling back confirms your number is active and monitored, which increases the likelihood of future calls from this number and others. Contributors who called back 04 8588 6264 were immediately routed to voicemail, which means the scam operation recorded the callback. Block the number and report it to Scamwatch and ACMA instead.

What should I do if I already emailed 04 8588 6264 or Aussie Assure with my phone number?

If you have already sent your phone number or email to Aussie Assure, monitor your email and phone for follow-up contact attempts. Change your password for any accounts that use this email address, especially banking and government services. Report the incident to Scamwatch (scamwatch.gov.au) immediately and let them know you provided personal contact information. Monitor your accounts for unauthorised activity and consider placing a fraud alert with your bank.

Why is 04 8588 6264 using a Pivotel Satellite mobile number?

Scam operations deliberately use mobile numbers rather than fixed lines because they can be changed quickly once the number is flagged by enough people. Pivotel Satellite serves rural and remote areas, which may make their account management less robust than major carriers. The choice of a satellite provider may also indicate the scammers are attempting to obscure the physical location of their operation or avoid carrier suspension more easily.

How can I stop receiving calls from numbers like 04 8588 6264?

You cannot prevent scam calls entirely, but you can minimise them. Register your number on the Do Not Call Register (donotcall.gov.au), though this does not stop scams. Block numbers immediately after the first call-do not call back or engage. Report every scam number to Scamwatch and ACMA so their databases improve. Never provide your phone number to unverified businesses or in response to unsolicited calls. Most importantly, never call unknown numbers back; let them leave a voicemail message first, as legitimate businesses will identify themselves clearly.
