Repeated Calls Campaign from 0485 841 461
A contributor has flagged 0485 841 461 (also written as 0485841461) as part of a coordinated series of unwanted calls. This mobile number is one of at least eight similar numbers used in what appears to be a persistent calling campaign targeting the same person over a one-week period.
The pattern suggests systematic contact attempts rather than isolated calls. The contributor reports receiving calls from 0485 841 461 alongside calls from closely-numbered variants: 0485858382, 0485841366, 0485841513, 0485841962, 0485842092, 0485842097, and 0485841324. All have been blocked.
Coordinated Calling Pattern
This type of campaign, where multiple sequential or similar phone numbers are used within a short timeframe, is typical of high-volume outreach operations. The use of multiple numbers from the same provider (pivotel-satellite-pty-limited) and similar number sequences suggests deliberate rotation to bypass call-blocking.
The contributor notes receiving these calls repeatedly over a week-long period before blocking all numbers. The persistence and volume indicate an operation designed to reach targets through multiple contact attempts when previous numbers are rejected or ignored.

Understanding Satellite Mobile Services
The number 0485 841 461 is allocated to pivotel-satellite-pty-limited, a satellite mobile service provider. Satellite numbers can be harder to trace than standard mobile networks, which makes them attractive to operators running persistent calling campaigns. The use of satellite-allocated numbers, combined with sequential variations, suggests deliberate choice to complicate identification and blocking.

WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
Why would scammers use multiple similar numbers like 0485 841 461?
Using sequential or similar numbers like 0485 841 461, 0485841366, and 0485841513 allows operators to continue contact when earlier numbers are blocked. It creates the impression of many different callers, making the campaign harder to identify as coordinated. Phone blocking systems often focus on individual numbers rather than patterns across similar ranges.
Should I answer to find out what 0485 841 461 wants?
No. If 0485 841 461 is part of a repeated calling campaign, answering confirms your number is active and responsive, likely increasing future contact attempts. Block first, verify later by contacting organisations directly through official channels if you suspect a legitimate caller spoofed the number.
Is satellite mobile service 0485 841 461 less legitimate than standard mobile?
Not necessarily. Satellite services like pivotel-satellite-pty-limited serve remote Australia legitimately. However, their relative anonymity and harder traceability make them favoured by some operators running high-volume campaigns. A single report of 0485 841 461 as part of a campaign warrants blocking regardless of service type.
What should I do if I've already answered calls from 0485 841 461?
Block 0485 841 461 and all similar numbers immediately. Do not provide any additional information in future calls. If you shared personal details, monitor your accounts for unusual activity. Report the entire campaign (0485 841 461 and companion numbers) to ACMA at acma.gov.au with dates and times.
How does the Do Not Call Register help with numbers like 0485 841 461?
Registering with the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au can reduce unsolicited marketing calls, though it may not stop 0485 841 461 if the campaign is scam or fraud-related rather than marketing. Report persistent calls from 0485 841 461 to ACMA alongside your Do Not Call Register complaint for investigation.
Should I report every similar number separately or the whole campaign?
Report the entire pattern to ACMA at acma.gov.au, naming 0485 841 461 and all related numbers (0485858382, 0485841366, 0485841513, 0485841962, 0485842092, 0485842097, 0485841324) in a single report. Describing the coordinated campaign as one submission helps authorities identify organised calling operations more effectively than separate individual reports.
