On November 15, 2023, at 1:30 PM, I received a call from the number 0483 948 549. I recognized the number and chose not to answer, and the caller hung up shortly thereafter.
I've received multiple calls from several numbers, including 0483 948 549, 5247, and just now 8043. None of them left messages. I have blocked the initial series because they seemed like scam calls, and now this latest one has come through, indicating an ongoing spam attempt.
This number rang this morning @ 9.33 am.... I picked up and "they" hung up!! I imagine another scammer!!
Said he was calling from Microsoft and that there was fraud detection on my computer. He asked about my computer and it’s system and when I said ‘TI basic’ he wanted to know more information like what was on the screen and later when I told him it kept saying ‘please insert cartridge’ and ‘Parsec is loading’ he wanted to know what phone I use. I assume it is a scam as I hear other voices talking loudly like in a telemarketing office. They sounded like Indian accents.
