I suspect this is a scam call. When I answered, a woman on the line claimed to be calling from Commonwealth Bank regarding account issues, but I do not even have an account with them.
I received a call from a male caller. As soon as he spoke, I suspected it was a scam and informed him of my suspicions, after which he abruptly hung up.
I received a call stating that an online charge had been made on my visa card. The caller asked if I wanted to approve the charge or report it as fraudulent. This raised red flags for me as it seemed suspicious.
I suspect this is a scam call. The caller claimed to be from NBN, saying they were upgrading internet lines. However, I do not have internet services in my name, nor do I possess a landline as they stated. It seems unlikely that NBN would call individuals to check their modem lights, which increases my skepticism.
Scammers beware.
Called and didn’t leave a message.
A man called me claiming to be from the NBN (National Broadband Network). I suspect this is a scam.
Guy with a sub-continental accent called and said he was from National Broadband Network, and asked me to do a speed test, did that and he advised he could get me a faster speed and asked me to type in a web address, I didn't. I asked if he was from my provider TPG and he said yes, I am! Well, that is interesting as I am not with TPG and he asked why did I say TPG hahaha gotcha, then he hung up and didn't say goodbye.
A caller falsely identified themselves as being from Telstra, claiming they could offer me 50% off my calls, despite me not being a Telstra customer at all. This raises concerns about a possible scam.
