During the call, they claimed that my Visa card had been charged $1,000 earlier in the morning and asked me to press 1, 2, or 0 for more information. This seemed suspicious.
The caller claimed there was a problem with my internet. I informed her that someone had called the previous day and resolved the issue. She insisted the earlier call was illegitimate. When I asked for her verification number and if I could call her back, she hesitated and then hung up. This made me doubt her legitimacy.
