I've been receiving calls from this number and also from 44335632 and 44335662 today, all traced back to the same address in Bendigo. The callers, who all had Indian accents, hung up immediately when I asked them about the weather in Kolkata.
I just got a call from this number I let it go to voicemail and it was a recording claiming it was Amazon and I would be billed $99 or my membership would be canceled and to press 1 to be directed to an operator. I don’t even have Amazon membership but called Amazon to be sure it wasn’t them and my account wasn’t being defrauded, they told me immediately it was a scam and to block the number.

I thanked them and said I would contact my account manager directly. I later called Telstra, and they confirmed that no discounts are offered for 'prepaid' or 'direct debit' services, which made me suspect this could be a scam.
