What Our Users Reviewed
A caller claimed to be from the SES (State Emergency Service) and asked if I wanted to make a small donation. The conversation felt somewhat legitimate as the caller even shared a laugh with me. However, I contacted the real SES headquarters in Victoria, and a representative informed me that they had received multiple reports about the same fraudulent call. Please do NOT give your money away to this scammer!
The caller identified himself as Ben Clayton from SES and had my full name. The first call occurred weeks ago, possibly in March or April, regarding advertising in their magazine. He called again on June 10, this time on my husband's mobile, asking for me by my full name. After identifying himself, I told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. I reported this incident to DEFES in WA and ScamWatch.
I reached out to inquire about the details but received no email response. It raises a red flag and seems to be a scam.
