The caller claimed to be from Electric Solution in Switzerland and wanted me to share personal account information in exchange for $200,000. When I inquired about why my account was frozen, they abruptly hung up. This calls for suspicion and could be a scam.
Scammers tried calling on a known spam landline number. I never answer unknown callers, neither should you! Then about 40 minutes later they tried again on this one. Both were flagged by the phone as a known spam number. I see other people have checked it too so there is some activity on this number by the scammers.
If you are being pestered by scam calls then DO NOT ANSWER unknown numbers! Let them leave a message or text, if they can't do that then too bad. If you answer they just mark you as "live" and you'll keep getting calls. If you reject the call or use a blocking app they get an Engaged tone, which they take as a clear invitation to call back later. So just let it ring out, don't touch it, and the calls will eventually slow down and stop. You'll notice an improvement in a week.
