Superannuation Impersonation Reports for 04 8009 4100

Multiple contributors have reported calls from 04 8009 4100 (also written as 0480094100) involving impersonation of Easy Solutions Australia and persistent requests for superannuation information. The pattern involves callers claiming to offer free super health checks or super transfers, using contributors' names to build credibility, then attempting to extract personal financial details.

Six separate reports about 0480094100 specifically mention callers impersonating legitimate business names or claiming affiliation with super services. One contributor noted the caller said the conversation was being recorded while asking about super balance details. When questioned about how they obtained contact information, callers have dismissed Do Not Call Register protections, with one claiming the recipient had supposedly requested a callback.

What Callers from 04 8009 4100 Say

Contributors describe callers from 04 8009 4100 using several consistent approaches. A woman offered a free super health check, already had the recipient's name on file, and asked about super balance before the call was disconnected. Another caller introduced himself as Joel from Easy Solutions Australia while discussing super transfers, with the contributor immediately recognising this as suspicious.

Several reports about 0480094100 indicate callers ask about superannuation details after establishing they've reached the correct person. One contributor reported the caller claimed the call was being recorded while requesting super information. When challenged, callers have responded defensively or hung up immediately. A recurring detail is that callers have prior knowledge of recipients' full names and suburbs, suggesting sourced contact lists rather than random dialling.

Report Patterns and Timing

Community reports for 04 8009 4100 span October to December 2025, with most contact occurring after 2-6 AM and around 9 AM Australian time. Three contributors reported the number calling repeatedly, with one noting nearly daily attempts over several days. The frequency pattern and persistence despite no answer or Do Not Call Register declarations suggests systematic targeting from a calling campaign.

One detailed report describes the operation as originating from an Indian call centre purchasing contact lists from online data brokers. This contributor outlined how scam groups systematically dial until reaching someone, and notes the absence of Australian legislation requiring data brokers to delete personal information contributes to the volume. Multiple reports indicate callers hang up immediately when questioned or when the recipient expresses frustration, supporting the hit-and-miss targeting strategy.

What to Do If You Receive a Call from 04 8009 4100

If 04 8009 4100 calls you:

  • Do not: Answer calls from unknown numbers, provide any superannuation details, confirm your full name or address, or return the call
  • Do: Let the call go to voicemail, block 0480094100 immediately, and verify any super service requests independently through your actual super fund's official phone number
  • Hang up immediately if the caller claims to be from Easy Solutions Australia or any super service you didn't contact
  • Never engage with claims about recording calls or free health checks - legitimate super services don't cold-call offering these services
  • Report to the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au if you've asked callers not to contact you and they persist

Understanding the Superannuation Scam

Superannuation impersonation scams targeting 04 8009 4100 exploit several vulnerabilities. Callers use prior knowledge of names and locations (obtained from data brokers) to appear legitimate. Requests for super balance information are used to verify account access or gather identity details for fraud. Contributors who provided information before hanging up risked having their super account details compromised or becoming targets for further social engineering.

One contributor's detailed analysis notes that persistent calls from 0480094100 will continue until legislation requires data brokers to delete personal information on request. Unlike overseas regulators, Australian data protection law does not give consumers the right to have their details removed from broker lists, making this number part of a broader systemic issue with Australian spam and scam calling.

Scammer group located in India. It isn't the first scam this group has run and won't be the last. Block immediately.

They purchase lists of active AUS phone numbers from online data brokers and then call these numbers religiously until they get an answer.

There are various paid online services that will reach out to these data brokers and request they delete your information on your behalf. However, none operate within Australia that I am aware of. This is due to the fact no legislation exists currently that dictates these data brokers ever have to delete your information, even if you request them to do so.

The Aus government desperately needs to pick up it's game when it comes to this sort of thing. The inability for us to have our data deleted on request is the single biggest reason Australian's receive disproportionate amounts of spam/scam calls compared to other developed countries.

TLDR: Scam/spam calls will continue to be an issue until the Aus government introduces legislation that gives us the right/power to have our data stored with brokers deleted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 04 8009 4100 actually from Easy Solutions Australia?

No. Multiple contributors confirm that Easy Solutions Australia is being impersonated by callers from 0480094100. Legitimate companies do not cold-call offering free super health checks or asking for superannuation details unprompted. If you receive such a call on 04 8009 4100, it is not a genuine service provider. Always verify independently by calling your actual super fund using the phone number on your member statement or official website.

How do callers from 0480094100 have my name and details?

One detailed community report about 04 8009 4100 explains that callers purchase contact lists containing names, phone numbers, and suburbs from online data brokers. These databases are built from publicly available and leaked data. Australia currently has no legislation requiring data brokers to delete your information on request, unlike other developed countries. This is why 0480094100 can reference your name without your permission.

What happens if I give superannuation details to 04 8009 4100?

Contributors who disclosed superannuation information to callers from 04 8009 4100 risk having their super account compromised, identity theft, or becoming repeat targets for follow-up scams. If you've already provided details, contact your super fund immediately using the phone number on your official member statement, report the call to ACMA (acma.gov.au), and consider reporting to ReportCyber (cyber.gov.au).

Why do callers from 0480094100 hang up when I question them?

Callers from 04 8009 4100 hang up when questioned because they rely on confusion and social engineering to extract information before scrutiny. Multiple reports show callers becoming defensive, changing their story, or disconnecting when contributors mention Do Not Call Register or ask how they got the number. This is a sign they know the call is illegitimate.

Should I report 04 8009 4100 to Do Not Call Register?

Yes. Report 0480094100 to the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au if you've explicitly asked callers from this number not to contact you again and they continue calling. However, scammers often ignore the register. Also report to ACMA (acma.gov.au) and Scamwatch (scamwatch.gov.au) to help authorities track the operation. Community reports about 04 8009 4100 suggest this is an active scam campaign, so formal reporting helps investigators.

Will blocking 0480094100 stop all calls from this scam group?

Blocking 04 8009 4100 will prevent this specific number from reaching you, but one contributor noted that scam groups operating from overseas data centres may use multiple phone numbers. Block 0480094100 on your phone, but remain vigilant for similar calls offering unexpected super services. If the same caller calls from different numbers claiming to be from Easy Solutions or offering super deals, report each number to ACMA and Scamwatch.
