    Regarding a car accident stating that they had tracked us down through the registration office, we asked multiple times what the registration of the car was as we have a fleet of vehicles. Australian woman just kept yelling down the phone and stated we had cut her off and she drove into a fence.

    It went to voicemail so I heard her “responses”.. Australian female voice was asking me questions about why I left a 1 star review (I didn’t), then saying “yes it was you!” As if I had replied. Not sure what the purpose would have been but definitely a recording and scammer.

    Female with Australian accent rang me telling me she was my neighbour, and was embarrassed to say that she caught me spying on her from behind my curtains. She couldn't tell me what suburb we were supposedly in. I told her I'm an exhibitionist, I don't have any curtains, and I like to walk around naked past my windows all the time. She hung up LOL.

    Just had a call from this number, a woman from eastern something furniture asking me for an address to deliver a couch. I told her she has the wrong number, but she was very insistent that she was given this exact number from her manager and has to organise this couch to be delivered, suggested maybe a family or friend had ordered it. Very strange because wouldn’t they have a name and address already then? I hung up and blocked it.

    Had a call from this number claiming she could smell "Weed from her stairwell" with an Aussie accent.

    First of all, none of my neighbours have stairs and second of all she wasn't listening to a word I was saying.

    What does one get out of a spam call like this I'm curious.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
