Recent text received stating date and time that new smart electrical meter was going to be installed. Additionally text said that we did not need to be home but clear access to our meter would be required. It gave a link to obtain additional information as well as an opt out link if we didn't want a new smart meter to be installed and detailed how long our power would be out for.
Strange issue was that they knew our energy supplier but after checking the number because why they would send this information in a text its a scam scam scam..
Will be reporting this one to both our energy supplier and the Fraud investigation authority.

I received a text stating that a smart meter was going to be installed at my residence. However, I already have a smart meter installed. Upon contacting my energy supplier, I learned that the installation of smart meters is handled by SA Power Network, who confirmed they are not responsible for notifications like the one I received.
