Can you believe this guy Mr. Rudneski? He claims he's lost his phone and then he’s got this dodgy Gmail address. Who even falls for these tricks anymore?
Oi, this Kelly Michael Rudneski is back at it again with the mobility scooter nonsense! It’s a bit sus if you ask me. Only people who actually need 'em should be on the road, right?
Heads up, everyone! Kelly Michael Rudneski is definitely a scammer. If you get an email from him, just ignore it. He claims he’s a single dad wanting to buy a surprise gift for his kid – it sounds fishy to me!
I am unsure about the nature of this call; there was no clear explanation of how the scam operates.
I received an identical message today claiming to be from the same individual. It seems they have a “son” who must apparently be quite fortunate.
I received the exact same message with the same reasons regarding my listed caravan. I won't fall for this scam.
I received a WhatsApp call from this number. The caller hung up when I checked my PayPal account for available funds. I had previously posted an ad on Gumtree in February 2025, and I suspect the call was related to that.
This report is about a suspicious email communication from someone named Daniel Stedmond. The email discussed a remote site and specifically mentioned that communication could only occur via email, with no phone reception available in Darwin. The sender requested information on the location and the final asking price, as well as offered payment options like PayPal or direct deposit, asking for bank details. They claimed to have arranged for a courier to pick up an item, stating they only needed a receipt. The user believes this is a scam and advises caution against providing any information to Daniel Stedmond.
I was contacted by the same man wanting to buy an item from me listed on Gumtree, said he can only make contact using email he wants to pay full price for the item without even seeing it asked me to send my bank details to him Kelly Michael Rudneski do not deal with him.
I have received the same email today that raises concerns. The content appears questionable.
This is undoubtedly a scam! People should be cautious and avoid engaging with the caller.
This call was similar to others where I received a missed call. Fortunately, I woke up early and avoided answering. It is important to report this number to prevent further calls, as we need to stop these unwanted contacts!
This number called me attempting to scam me out of $2,000, claiming it was for the delivery of a JetSki. They falsely suggested that I needed to transfer money before anything could be done. It turns out the whole scenario was a ruse involving a mix-up with the wrong individual!
I appreciate this platform! I received similar emails from the same person who is allegedly selling a car. I believe this person is a fraud and I plan to report it to Gumtree for further action.
Fraud, man called Kelly Michael Ridneski uses 0477 685 326 and 0448 253 529 to scam people. Targets people who are selling things on Gumtree. They have several profiles on Gumtree, all aimed at scamming. May possibly be someone who works at Gumtree. If you know any other numbers they use, please post that here so we can all block them. They also have weird usernames on Gumtree such as "System Notify", "Lee" or "Blessings". They send links to a phishing website. They try to get your personal details. Do not send them anything. Do not communicate with them. Block them.
The same individual has contacted me again using a different number and name, 0483 368 991, claiming to be Christopher Mark Hardy. The messages he sends are almost identical to previous ones. This appears to be a Gumtree scam, and he continues to be relentless with texts and emails.
I believe I am being targeted by a scammer on Gumtree. The person has repeatedly contacted me with the same story about being a 'single dad trying to do something for my son' and claiming to be a courier agent. When I suggested he pay via PayPal, I started receiving several fake emails (which appeared to be from PayPal) instructing me to purchase a Telstra card to release the funds. I wish there was a central agency where we could report scammers like this.
I found a listing for a car on Gumtree for my son. The seller wants payment for transportation through PayPal and claims they've been doing this for a while. I've read several reports about this issue lately. The number associated with this seller is 0448 253 529, and it seems suspicious.
I received a call today from the number 0448 253 529. The caller used the same names that I have encountered before, but I find it suspicious that the number is different.
9th December 2024.
I just received a text message from this same number (+61 477 685 326) and it was the CLASSIC "I'm out of town and cannot be contacted by phone".... (HOW did the SMS get through, then?!?!?!?!?) - These morons are just that - MORONS!
Then "he" says - "I am buying this motorbike for my son and I will pay you through PayPal" (which CAN be reversed)......
I wrote back and said NO PayPal - You'll be doing a bank transfer via OSKO (instant payment) while we ar at the local police station......
I said - You HAVE my number - CALL ME - otherwise I will KNOW that you ARE a scammer!
(Then I went and did a search onlone re this phone number........... And YES - he's a scammer!)
I received a suspicious message from someone claiming to be a single father interested in an item I am selling. He sent me a photo and a Medicare card, and later emailed stating that the money had been deposited through PayPal. The confirmation looks legitimate, but it was alarming enough to keep me awake at night, prompting me to Google his name for more information.
I received a text and email from this person who I believe is a scammer. They are lying, and I plan to report them to both the police and PayPal.
This scammer contacted me through Gumtree, claiming to be a single dad wanting to buy a car for his son. However, he is based in New South Wales while I am in the Northern Territory and will only communicate via email.
I received a similar message and decided not to answer. I suspect it's the same person who called a few days ago—using different names like Daniel Tasman or Michael Stedman—who previously sent an NT Licence. I've believed from the start that they are a scammer. Always be cautious and never share your money!
This call had the exact same message as previous reports I found online. I became suspicious after hearing it and decided to search for the name associated with the number on Google, which led me to this thread mentioning it as a scam.
I had a similar experience with this number. They caught me off guard by trying to pay for something unexpectedly, and I nearly fell for it. Thankfully, I did some research on their number first. I'm grateful for the resources that helped me avoid this scam, and I hope no one else got tricked!
I just received a text about a listing I have on Gumtree, and I believe this may be a scam attempt, so please be cautious.
The message I received from this caller was identical to those I've received from other individuals on Gumtree, which makes it seem suspicious.
I got exact same message today.. scammer. I did reply to him asking for his photo of licence and to hold it to his face so I could confirm its the same person.. Lol he never got back to me.
On October 4, 2024, I received a text about a car I have listed for sale on Gumtree. I found the message suspicious after a quick check, confirming it is a scam. The sender identified themselves as "Jacinta." Please be careful!
I've had a similar inquiry regarding a truck from this caller, and despite trying to ignore him, he continues to be persistent. I won’t reach out to poor Kelly Rudenski personally, but I am considering taking action against whoever is using his identity. Thank you to everyone for sharing their experiences!
I received a text from someone named Kelly asking if my bike listed on Gumtree is still available and requested my final asking price. She specified to respond via text only, which seems suspicious.
Yes, I got exactly the same yesterday in response to a car selling ad I posted on Gumtree. He also sent a photo of a Driver's Licence and Medicare no. I googled this name and found a guy that runs a consultancy business. I called him from a different number to a different number I got from the business page. This guy confirmed the identity on the cards and said he got about 20 calls about this. He confirmed that he had his identity stolen.
Scam message from this number in response to my Gumtree ad.
