I appreciate this post. Today, I received an SMS notification stating that I had added someone named J Hussain as a payee to my bank account and that money was about to be transferred to him! It’s clearly a scam.
A message from ING stated that a new payee named J HUSSAIN has been added to my account. If I did not add this payee, they urged me to visit a suspicious link.
I got a text about a supposed parcel delivery that could not be completed on a Sunday. I find this suspicious for three reasons: 1. I am not expecting any parcels, 2. The message was sent at 3:53 AM, which is unusual, and 3. Typically, companies do not deliver on Sundays unless it's an emergency. Therefore, I believe this is a total scam, and I will be blocking this number.
