Same I'm in WA and have been getting calls everyday for 2 weeks, have blocked it but still how do I make it stop?
I just received a call from this number also. It is the first time I've received it. I hope they don't keep ringing. I had the same thing, answered and then there was no one there and they hung up.
I had been ignoring this number for a week as I was getting calls twice a day! I finally answered and like another comment here, there is a delay and then someone speaks. I told them to stop calling me! Lady was rude and said to me, "Well do you know what this call is about?" Then I just hanged up! Absolute nuisance and this phone number should be stopped.

This is "National Consumer Services" which doesn't seem to be a registered company based in Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast, QLD. Ste 10 Level 4 U2018 Varsity Lakes, QLD 4227.
They are a outbound call centre for Real Insurance.
They use a dialing bot to auto dial numbers, and keep re-trying until they connect. Then there is a 3 second connection delay to a call centre operator.
The operator will then introduce " Have you heard of Real Insurance ".
Has been spamming me with calls from 7am until about 2pm every day for about 4 days now. Needs to be disconnected.

This is a automated bot dialing machine. Telstra service, from a "Company " account as advised by Telstra team.
If you answer the call, it clicks and automatically hangs up. It may be a number harvesting service to see if your number is still active on a database. It may try 10 times for example, and if successful ad you to the active list.
Just got a call from this number, its about the 10th call in the last 3 days and like others was getting rather annoyed at them never leaving a message and never being able to call them back. I explained to the guy this is causing a lot of people some angst and said he would flag me in the system as "not interested". As per another note here from someone else, its from "National Consumer Services" who seem to be telemarketing a company called "Real Insurance" who want to sell you Life and Funeral Insurance.
There a really neat feature on my iPhone called "Block this Caller", first time I have used it, lets see how is goes.

My girlfriend has been getting called all day at least 3-4 times every 2 hours and they hang up straight away when answered. I had tried to call them back off my mobile with obviously no luck they continue to hang up my suggestion is add they're number to an auto reject list and you won't receive anything from them.
