Analysis of User Reports
According to a review dated 09/08/2023, a recipient received an SMS claiming that a delivery attempt was made on 7/9/23. This kind of activity is typical of phishing scams where perpetrators seek to exfiltrate personal or financial information from unsuspecting victims.
Classification: Suspicious SMS Scam
This number falls into the "suspicious" category due to the fraudulent nature of its message, misleadingly presenting itself as a legitimate communication from a well-known delivery service. Legitimate organisations, such as Australia Post, typically do not request customers to visit unverified websites to manage deliveries. Furthermore, the absence of a standard Australia Post email address adds to its lack of authenticity.
