Gumtree Scammer. Do not interact with Dean Ryan.
I encountered a scammer while using Gumtree, specifically someone by the name of Dean Ryan. Please do not engage with him, as he is known for fraudulent activities.
Luckily I searched for this number, as my experience is similar to the other two reviewers.
I was approached by this Scammer on Gumtree who offered to see me auto parts significantly less than market value without any negotiation (bad vibe #1). Not only that, the postage offered is cheaper than what AusPost/Sendle charge (#2). When asked about photo proof of the good, he send two photos of varient models with different backgrounds (#3). I tested him to say that I'm getting it from someone else and he immediately discount it by 10% (#4).
Needless to say.0432 765 000 is on my block list.
I arranged to purchase a bullbar for my car for $280. I paid $140 upfront and was supposed to pay the rest upon delivery. However, the seller kept insisting on receiving the full amount earlier because he claimed to be in financial trouble. When I asked him to send me proof of identity, he refused. I also checked the tracking screenshot he provided, which turned out to be old and linked to a shipment from China.
