I was phoned from this number, and upon answering heard nothing, before being hung up on 3 seconds later. I googled the number and called them back to request my number be removed from their call list. I was made to quote my mobile number to them (even though it was the phone I was calling off of) before they'd remove it. The bloke I spoke to was polite, but the process was ridiculous.

This is the Australian Marketing Centre.

I got a call from "stu" who told me it was not a marketing call and I can relax, but he would be recording the conversation.

He then asked me about my life and other insurance policies.

I asked him why I would release that to him, and he gave a garbled response.

I said it sounds exactly like marketing and, mid sentence, he hung up in my ear.

I wonder how that goes in the audio review training and feedback analysis.

Poor stu, what a shite way to spend a day.

Don't appreciate being called from a mobile that the number is not even in service wasting my time and money calling it back. At least have the decency to leave a message.
