This number belongs to Daniel Falzon, who has been trying to scam people again. He scammed me out of a couple of hundred dollars. I initially responded to a "wanted to buy" ad on Gumtree. He used a fake identity, but I managed to uncover his true name through some investigation. He is definitely someone to watch out for.
Gumtree seems pretty useless at curtailing scammers like this Daniel Falzon. All they could probably do is ban him from registering and accessing advertisers' phone numbers, in which case he could simply get an accomplice to log on. There's a page about scams on Gumtree, and about this type of bald faced rip off artist the only advice offered seems to be to not send money to anyone you don't know, and to only do face to face transactions, and with that they've effectively washed their hands of the problem. Oh well, it's a free site, and you get what you pay for.
Depressing to read the pages and pages of victims of this particular scumbag of the complete and utter kind, he'll never stop doing what he does until a few of his more vengeful victims catch up with him, he'd be better off being locked up.
A couple of weeks ago I advertised on Gumtree that I was after a set of Ventura "L" brackets for my bike.
Very soon after I received a text from.
0431864518 asking if I was interested in postage. I smelt a rat so replied that as long as they provided a photo of the item and a postage quote then we could talk. I got no reply.
Today I readvertised on Gumtree and sure enough an hour later I got a text from the same number.
I did a Google search and found that the "gentleman", Mr Daniel Falzon (who appears to reside in the Hoppers Crossing area of Victoria) has a long history of this scam.
He replies to wanted ads offering to post the item if you deposit money into his account- surprise! There is no item.
He won't be getting anything off me, I just want to make sure noone from here gets stung.

Suggestion.......
If you look up the BSB of the account where he wants you to send money and find the financial institution, you can inform them through a link on their website. None of institutions want to do business with this type of person and they will de-bank him.
It might not stop him but it will make it a little more difficult especially as the word gets around.
I just happened to Google the number and all this came up. Thanks for the reports you just saved me $300. Surely this guy should be in jail. Many other people would have just accepted it as a lose. If you steal $300 from the shop you are arrested this is the same.
Just got scammed by this Daniel Raymond Falzon for $200. Same story as everyone else. This guy needs to be stopped. If you work in law enforcement or know anybody in the media who can help please stop this guy.
Contact Victoria Police they will send you to the website for Fraud, and then eventually you will look and find the- 'ACORN' form to fill out online, thats all we can do at this stage. Its a joke people can do this multiple times and get away with it. The bank knows he's dodgy so what more is needed????
He tried scamming me today for $225.His picture needs to be posted so that he can be exposed to the public.

Hey - I'm another trusting bunny that's been scammed by this guy. I put a wanted ad on Gumtree and sent him $200 for motorcycle parts that never eventuated. Did a search tonight to find this trail of fraud..... unreal. I'll contact VicPol and make a report.

The little muppet tried to scam me 20 minutes ago. His story didn't make sense and when I pursed him more he told me if you don't like it, ill block you. I then googled for photos what what he sent me and low and behold the same photos where there.
Daniel your intelligence levels are very low, you need to educate yourself on the art of deception or at least stick to the same story. Im pretty sure his mum and dad are cousins, and this is the reason that cousins shouldn't be allowed to have children.
He found me on Gumtree, I was advertising for a HQ Dash pad, he said he had 1 for $340.00 so I sent him the money. BSB :126560, Account: 22851450, in the name Daniel Falzon... Bank of Queensland..... On the 11 December, Money never reached him so he keeps telling me, but the bank said it did after 48 hours otherwise the money would of bounced back to me but never did. Ive give him some time to come good on the deal next step is to get the bank to track the money on the transaction to see were it ended up and do something about it. Everyone else should do the samething, cost you $22.00 extra but in the long run it might work out for the best to stop this, treat him as an Terrorist as he most likely getting funds to do something stupid. Thanks peoples.

Total scumbag Daniel Falzon from hoppers crossing Melbourne makes contact with me through gunteee on 06/11 after I put up a wanted to buy advertisement on a rare Holden Torana part he sounded to good to be true but I thought I would take a chance so I deposited $320 into his bank of Australia account 12173188 found out he was a scam.

Tried to scam me today was wanting to buy off Gumtree said he was in Darwin as it turned out our son lives there so we said he could come around story went had to go away to work was going to Vic. Sometimes it pays to have people around the country.
