Number used by a SMS scammer claiming to be “AUPOST” and trying to get a click on a link “to provide an address” because they “would re-deliver it.”

As far as I know, post offices are given POSTAL addresses for delivery and NOT recipient phone numbers. Furthermore, the legal contract is between the delivery service and the SENDER (who pays for the service), not the recipient, so any problems should be referred back to the sender. The recipient should never be called on to jump through hoops to arrange delivery; the only exception is where a card is physically delivered which must be taken to a specific post office for collection of a parcel which required recipient identification.

This phone number is one of 5 scam texts I received in the past 2 weeks.
