Debt Collection Reports for 0426 228 367

Six contributors have reported unwanted calls from 0426 228 367 (also written as 0426228367), with a consistent pattern of debt collection contact. Reports describe calls from Creditcorp, a debt purchasing company, claiming outstanding debts on accounts contributors say they do not hold. The behaviour across reports indicates aggressive, repeated contact from this mobile number.

One contributor described the caller as "polite but pushy", while others characterised the approach as predatory and harassing. Contributors have responded by blocking the number, though some continued to receive contact attempts from 0426 228 367 across multiple months.

What Callers from 0426 228 367 Claim

Reports indicate callers from 0426228367 identify themselves as Creditcorp representatives and reference outstanding debts. In one instance, a contributor stated they have no debts with the company, yet the caller persisted. Another report simply notes "nagging about debts", suggesting persistent demands despite contributor denial of liability.

The tone reported varies: one contributor noted the agent maintained politeness while applying pressure, whereas other reports describe the contact as "shady" and the behaviour as "scamming nonsense". This suggests either variation in caller approach or escalation in aggressive tactics by different agents calling from 0426 228 367.

Call Frequency and Contact Patterns

The most recent report from 0426 228 367 indicates a severe escalation in call volume. One contributor reported receiving "three to five a day" from multiple different numbers recently, with no voicemail left on missed calls, suggesting automated or bulk dialling from coordinated sources. An earlier report from mid-2024 described "repeated harassment" and "relentless" contact, indicating this pattern has persisted over an extended period.

Contributors have uniformly responded by blocking calls from 0426228367, yet contact attempts appear to have continued across different numbers. The lack of voicemail messages on missed calls is consistent with either robocall systems or deliberate avoidance of recorded evidence.

What to Do If You Receive a Call from 0426 228 367

If you receive a call from 0426 228 367 claiming you owe a debt:

Do not provide any personal or financial information. Legitimate debt collectors will not demand payment over the phone without verification documentation sent by post.

Verify independently. Contact Creditcorp directly using the phone number on their official website (not the number shown on your caller ID), or check your credit file via a free credit reporting agency to confirm whether any debt is actually registered against you.

If you do not recognise the debt: Do not engage further with the caller. Hang up and do not return calls from 0426 228 367. If the debt is legitimate, a formal letter will follow through official mail.

Block the number. Add 0426228367 to your phone's blocked list to prevent further calls. If calls continue after blocking, document the dates and times.

Report predatory behaviour. If the caller uses threats, abusive language, or contacts you repeatedly after you've asked them to stop, this may breach the Australian Consumer Law or debt collection regulations. Keep a record of calls from 0426 228 367 with dates, times, and what was said.

Called me twice a day off a private number for nearly a week, also called me off this number too. Claimed to be a debt collector from Credit Corp, however when I questioned the lady she was reluctant to provide me with any information about the company. They apparently "had me on file", but I questioned that too, and she claimed to have all my details (which as it turns out were completely wrong and 100% not mine).

Very very dodgy. Avoid answering a call from this number.

This is seriously dodgy! I just received a call from this number harassing me about tracking my partner down! She wouldn't even tell me what company she was from but still tried to get information out of me and she said her name was Charlotte Collins. Be careful people.

Frequently Asked Questions

I received a call from 0426 228 367 claiming I owe a debt with Creditcorp. How do I know if this is legitimate?

If you do not recognise the debt, do not assume it is legitimate based on a phone call from 0426228367. Legitimate debt collectors will send formal written documentation by post, not rely solely on phone contact. Hang up, then verify independently by checking your credit file (free from equifax.com.au, experian.com.au, or illion.com.au) or contacting Creditcorp directly using the number on their official website, not the number that called you. Multiple contributors have reported calls from 0426 228 367 claiming debts they do not hold.

What should I do if I keep receiving calls from 0426 228 367 even after blocking?

Contributors report that calls from 0426228367 have continued despite blocking attempts. If you are receiving repeated calls from this number or similar numbers claiming the same debt, document the dates and times of each call. This pattern may indicate harassment in breach of Australian Consumer Law. Report the repeated contact from 0426 228 367 to ACMA at acma.gov.au and consider contacting the Office of Fair Work Ombudsman or a consumer protection agency in your state.

The caller from 0426 228 367 said I have no right to dispute the debt. Is that correct?

No. You have the right to dispute any debt claim. If you believe a call from 0426228367 is incorrect, you can request written evidence of the debt and dispute it formally. Under Australian Consumer Law, debt collectors must provide clear documentation and cannot use harassment or threats. If the caller from 0426 228 367 pressured you or refused to provide written details, this may be unlawful. Report it to ACMA or your state's consumer protection agency.

Should I call back a missed call from 0426 228 367?

No. Do not call back 0426228367. One recent contributor reported receiving three to five missed calls per day from this number without voicemail messages, consistent with automated dialling or deliberate avoidance of recorded communication. If the contact is legitimate, they will follow up with formal written notice. Calling back from 0426 228 367 may trigger automated systems or further harassing contact.

What is Creditcorp and why would they be calling from 0426 228 367?

Creditcorp is a debt purchasing company that buys defaulted debts from original creditors. However, multiple contributors have reported calls from 0426228367 claiming debts that those contributors do not hold, or cannot recognise. This suggests either database errors, targeting incorrect numbers, or scam activity impersonating Creditcorp. Verify any debt claim independently before engaging further with a caller from 0426 228 367.

Is it safe to provide any information to a caller from 0426 228 367?

No. Do not provide personal, financial, or identification information to an unsolicited caller from 0426228367. Callers from this number have been reported by contributors as using predatory tactics and making claims about debts contributors dispute. Legitimate debt collectors will verify identity and send documentation in writing. If you confirm your identity or financial details to a caller from 0426 228 367, you may expose yourself to further targeting or fraud. Hang up and verify the debt independently.
