They are scammers.
They pretend to be vodafone but they are scammers. They claim to be Vodafone Chinese and referred to my name correctly, and claimed there was a phone number registered in China using my passport and since been engaged in disseminating false investment ideas and leads, and gave me detailed info on time and IP address the perpetrator used, and advised me to contact Beijing Police to check footage and see if they can locate the person and verify that was not me who picked up the temporary sim card. Then they sent me an email of ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) document showing the original accusation was raised against this false number that I was not aware of and asked me to provide detailed and proven explanations within 3 hours of receiving this letter. haha. Then after all the communication as I said 3 hours is not possible. They said ACMA allows Vodafone as an operator to record this call and forward me to talk to Chinese Police directly, and then they directed me to talk to someone 'supposed' to be in Beijing. But luckily, this person also has a taiwanese accent as the other two people who talked to me before. So I hang up.
