Called me requesting ad in AUSPOL magazine, known as a scam.
These are scam artists... don't not subscribe to them. Scammed me for money for a magazine ad in "Volunteer Rescue" mag and tried again for "OnDuty" mag... Both bogus! Don't believe a word they say!
Some scumbag offering some police fake crap, ...
Same scam but wanting money for the fire fighters April booklet. This has all come about from me putting an ad on gum tree for my business. Do not give these people money.
Wanting donations from businesses to support ice booklets for year 11 students very pushy wanted the minimum $380 then didn't want to display my business information in the booklet wanted me to be anonymous.
This number just attempted to contact me. My super smart phone tells me if it's Suspected Spam on the caller ID. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message - Definitely dodgy. Don't answer!
*Also, don't think real, legitimate business would contact you on Mobile phones.
Had a call from this number last month saying that they are from the police force asking for donations to fund a handbook for the youth of my area to educate them on ice. Emailed me a certificate saying thanks for my support and they will send a pack in the mail. Am yet to see the information pack.
Dodgy, called about a "big job for the SES" have called previously on different number selling ads for the Ambo's. Same pitch......
It makes me angry as they are leveraging the credibility of our volunteer services to sell ads.
I doubt the publications evan exist.

Called today 18/10/2016 saying they were from the Police Welfare and wanted to speak with the business owner. The line was so bad I could barely understand. Said they would call back and hung up.
Was told something about associated to police welfare and asked about my business. Sounded dodgy so hung up.
Rang and stated was from Policed Welfare Unit and looking for sponsorship.
Avoid. Scam.
Rang to advice putting together a local community event regarding ICE use amongst youth and wanting sponsor ship from local businesses. Caller advised they were from a police taskforce.
Andy Wright rang today saying they were from the Federal Police and they were putting together Oz Fold a police news and information package and they were looking for community support/donations to get Oz Fold published.
Do not answer - scam.
Rang on 2/8/16 saying they were from the firefighters.
They were doing a big job and a big book !
Total scam - beware.
