    My comment: No message left. Calls frequently. Query scammer or cold call soliciting.

    Hangs up immediately. Desperate Indian-based scammer, using newly disconnected number to call from.

    Why two stars then?? That’s a bit odd. Clearly a scammer.

    A real company other than debt collector.

    Who is trying to gain your business will happily give their company name and even their first name as they soon hope to have you as their loyal customer right??

    Electricity comparison. The lady was rude, didn't want to provide company name and wanted to switch me over to another company without telling me the prices.

    Telemarketing from PowerDeal. But when asked location of the company was unable to give an address of the company. Clearly did not state his full name or the purpose of the call and the company that he is calling from. Beware of scammers on the phone.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
