I wish there was something more we could do, or any further news.
I have reported this Fraudster to Victoria Police, Crime Stoppers, ACORN, Scamwatch and Gumtree, and no one seems to be able to do much further.
Keep contacting him and see if anyone could trace him.
Yep scammer. Just did same to me with eagles tickets luckily I checked here..... Tries to get you to pay through the new cash transfer on mobile apps... Dog.
Hi there, just had this number contact me offering to sell me tickets to a concert I want to go to and as I was reading your comments, sure enough they followed up with the text offering ID to prove he was genuine.
I decided to Google the mobile number as I know someone who was stung before and low and behold this forum came up. They want to sell me 2 x electronic tickets to a gig... No thank you... Especially not now that I see they have scammed others. I simply text back "IS it ok to meet in person to swap cash for tickets rather than online" We'll see what the answer is.
Horrid to think there are people out there doing this. The number is on right now as they are texting me as I type!
Hey guys, so I posted the second comment. If we all create enough interest, we can make this a priority to the authorities. Firstly, file a report with ACORN (online scamming). The license name was "Christopher George Magor" and keep your interactions through text as evidence. Any banking info you might know about the person too.
