Mixed Reports for 0420 101 866
The mobile number 0420 101 866 (also written as 0420101866) has generated six community reports with notably conflicting patterns. One contributor confirmed a genuine call from PCYC about lottery tickets, describing it as legitimate and for a good cause. However, the remaining five reports paint a different picture, with suspicious voicemail tactics, repeated unanswered calls, and impersonation behaviour suggesting potential scam activity on this number.
This split between legitimate and suspicious activity is unusual. It may indicate the number has been used by multiple callers, or that 0420101866 has been compromised for fraudulent purposes despite legitimate historical use.
Suspicious Voicemail Behaviour from 0420 101 866
One contributor reported particularly suspicious voicemail tactics from 0420 101 866. The caller did not leave a standard message with their name or reason for calling. Instead, they repeatedly said "hello" as if unaware they were speaking to a voicemail system. When the caller attempted to speak directly to the recipient, they mispronounced the person's name with what the contributor described as a clear Indian accent, with audible office background noise consistent with call centre operations.
This pattern - failure to properly identify oneself, awkward voicemail behaviour, and mispronunciation of names - aligns with common impersonation tactics reported on 0420101866 and flagged as consistent with known scammer behaviour on Reverseau.
Call Patterns and Frequency from 0420 101 866
Multiple contributors reported receiving repeated calls from 0420 101 866 without leaving messages. One contributor stated they received 10 calls in a single week from this number. Others noted that 0420101866 either reached their voicemail or was blocked by their phone's filtering system, with no follow-up messages left. The pattern of repeated attempts without substantive communication is a common trait of systematic scam dialling campaigns.
A contributor mentioned they could not eliminate the calls, suggesting they had attempted to block or report 0420 101 866 but continued to receive contact attempts.
Company Name Uncertainty
One contributor recalled the caller mentioning a company name they believed to be either "Kalkine" or "Calcine," but expressed uncertainty about the exact name. This vague recollection, combined with the suspicious voicemail and repeated calls from 0420101866, suggests the caller may have been deliberately unclear about their identity.

What Our Users Reviewed
PCYC calling about lottery tickets, seems genuine and it's for a good cause
Called me 10 times this week
Left no message
Either I don't answer the calls or my phone blocks them, no messages left and can't eliminate them
I am highly suspicious of this caller. I didn’t answer as I didn’t recognise the number. They got my voicemail and instead of leaving a regular message (like their name, reason for calling etc) the caller just kept saying “hello” as if they couldn’t tell they were leaving a voicemail. Then the caller asked he was speaking to me but mispronounced my name with a clear Indian accent. I could hear what sounded like a busy office in the background. All of this is entirely consistent with many voicemails left by callers that have been identified as scammers on Reverse.au.
Some company called Kalkine or maybe calcine.

What should I do if 0420 101 866 calls me repeatedly?
If 0420101866 calls you 10 or more times without leaving a clear message, this is a strong indicator of systematic scam dialling. Block the number immediately on your phone and report it to Scamwatch (scamwatch.gov.au) and ACMA (acma.gov.au). Do not answer or return the call.

One contributor was uncertain whether the caller from 0420101866 mentioned "Kalkine" or "Calcine," suggesting the company name was either unclear or deliberately obscured.
