Listen up! I've just been hit with one of those classic dodgy calls from NAB about some PayID transfer that I know nothing about. Newsflash: I don't even bank with them—no chance!

Received a call from someone pretending to be from NAB, saying I was transferring $3200 to some bloke named Mohammed Khan. Gave me a landline number to call back—ignored it straight away and reported it to the real NAB.

So, got a message from this number that looks like it's from NAB, but I smelled something fishy. They sent a banking code with a warning, then I got through to someone who wanted my details. Felt like a scam, mate. Just doesn’t sit right...

Got a dodgy message saying I've added some bloke named M Sadiq to my NAB account as an additional cardholder. Since I don't even bank with them, I'm pretty sure this is a scam.

Mate, listen up! I got this shady message about M Saddk supposedly being added as some sort of cardholder to my NAB credit card. They actually told me to call 03 9112 5896 if I had issues. Both 0418 927 502 and 03 9112 5896 are scam numbers! steer clear of them!

Similar to my experience, I suspect this number has spoofed a legitimate one. They claimed they could not send my statement via email, which I actually did receive, and instructed me to check my details online. Although there wasn’t a link provided during this call, I suspect they might send another message with a link soon, trying to deceive me into thinking their request is genuine.

I want to clarify that this is a legitimate NAB banking phone number. I verified this after making changes to my account that required confirmation via a text I received from the number 0418 927 502.

I called the 1800 number associated with my NAB account, and verified that it was the same number that was used to send me a security code.

Definitely a scam- got the same message about a secret code NAB reset. The bank would never do this.

I have a NAB account. I can confirm that this number is used by the bank to send SMS authorisations for my electronic transactions. No doubt some customers don't tell the bank when they change their contact details.

I got the following text: 633568 is an identification verification from NAB. This code will be the only one we ask you to provide over the phone.

I received an SMS from the above number today, shortly after I completed some banking on my mbl phone, very suspicious! message said it was a "Secret Code for device registration and not to provide this "Secret Code" to anyone, even the NAB!!! BE VERY Careful and report.

I've just received a text and call from 0418 927 502 no message left, I called the number back 10 minutes later and found it had been disconnected.

I got a text from that number, with a secret code, and that I shouldn't provide this to NAB... Weird, spam.
