Analysis of the Reports
A user complaint received on 1 November 2022 outlined a troubling interaction with the caller. According to the report, the individual was interrogated about an alleged $800 transaction and asked if they were on the internet at a specific time. The conversations took an alarming turn when the caller hung up after receiving affirmative responses.
- Identification as a Scammer: Based on the user's account, it seems the caller attempted to extract sensitive information under the guise of verifying unusual transactions. This behavior is characteristic of phishing scams, where fraudsters impersonate legitimate companies to deceive consumers into divulging personal details.
