What Our Users Reviewed
So I got loads of calls from this number claiming to be TPG, right? I let it go to voicemail for days, but then decided to ring up TPG support. Turns out, they were just checking in on my internet and landline. The rep assured me everything's cool now. A bit of a strange sudden burst of calls, though!
I received a suspicious text message that asked me to kindly send a copy of my bank details for a refund credit, referencing refund #702307. There’s no way I would provide sensitive information like that through an anonymous text. It’s clearly spam, but I find it particularly questionable since I recently received a credit from TPG.
This phone number is associated with TPG/Vodafone and may be used for sending verification messages or similar communications.
I received both a text message and a phone call about my TPG internet account. After speaking with them, I confirmed that they were a legitimate follow-up concerning issues I was experiencing with my internet service.
I got an SMS asking me to reply so they could call me back. The message was vague and didn’t specify its purpose, which seemed suspicious. I will not be responding to this communication.
I received a message from this number this morning, thought it may have been a scam. I contacted TPG to see if it was and I can safely say that it is NOT a scam. The message was automated, but was official from TPG. If you receive a message from this number and you are not a customer, it's possible that a real TPG customer simply entered their phone number and now you are receiving messages intended for them. I just wanted to put this out there because it stressed me out this morning, and wanted to let people know my findings. If you are sceptical of a number being fake, you should call the company the person claims to represent and confirm it with them. Don't just blindly write a comment online that's going to confuse and mislead people.
So bloody ignorant. You answer and there is nobody at the other end. One day I would like to conduct my own pay back on these people.
