Female caller from noisy (Indian?) Call Centre claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank Security. Checking if I made an $800 transfer to John Smith this morning. When I answered no, she started on the process of we had better cancel that transaction and look into the suspicious activity on your account. She asked "When was the last time you logged into your online banking?" I questioned, that was Commonwealth Bank? She replied "Yes". My response " About 35 years ago since it has been that long since I had an account with them. She hung up before I finished saying "So bugger off and stop scamming people out of their money"! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION They are trying to ROB YOU. P.S. Last week I had three callers from different numbers advised me I transferred to John Smith from Commonwealth Bank (2 calls) and National Australia Bank (1 call). They received the same response.
